Ballari: A Karnataka Dalit BJP leader was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at a roadside eatery in Karnataka’s Ballari.
The incident took place on Thursday.
35-year old Bandi Ramesh, vice-president of the party’s district Scheduled Tribe Morcha was attacked with lethal weapons by the assailants. Police suspect previous enmity to be the reason behind the killing.
Ramesh, who was accused of attempt to murder, was recently released from jail on bail. There were several other criminal cases against him.
Ramesh is said to be a close aide of the Ballari Lok Sabha MP B Sriramulu.
